Drawing Basics
Sacramento artist Patris teaches a six week course in beginning drawing. This course will introduce students to basic concepts and principles of drawing as well as various aspects of artistic expression using a dry media such as pencil, charcoal, or pen. If you’ve always wanted to draw, but (mistakenly) thought you were born without any artistic talent, this course will demonstrate how everyone has the capacity for visual expression. Patris will guide you through the beginning steps of learning to draw with her down-to-earth teaching style.
This class is recommended to anyone considering learning to paint -- basic drawing skills are essential for painting!

About the Instructor...
Patris has been at the center of the Sacramento art scene for years.
Her vibrant oil paintings of Northern California landscapes and urban scenes- particularly paintings of her Oak Park neighborhood- are displayed in many corporate and private collections in Sacramento and beyond.
Patris also serves as a commissioner for the Sacramento Metropolitan Arts Commission and is a vital member of the Terry Miura Studio Group.
